Adam was born in Alpena, Michigan and graduated from Alpena High School. He received his B.A. in Political Science and Russian and East European Studies from the University of Michigan. He received his M.A. in National Security Policy from Georgetown University and his J.D. from Michigan State University.
He has worked for the U.S. State Department at the Moscow Embassy and other locations around the world. In addition, he served in the Department of Defense in the Office of General Counsel at the Pentagon. He was law clerk to the Honorable Jonathan E. Lauderbach and is currently Senior Counsel at Warner Norcross & Judd, LLP, specializing in government contracts and real estate.
He lives in Midland, Michigan with his wife Nicki, a band teacher, and their two girls Abby and Olivia.
